Trying to find joy in disappointment

I’m accepting advice ~ how do you deal with disappointment? Any strategies that you use to overcome the sadness and frustration?

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

If it was something really important to me that I had invested a lot of time and hope into, I try to make it a learning experience. Think about what you learned, how that makes you a better person, and how you’ll use that experience to push yourself next time. (I also find a song that expresses how I feel or gives me motivation and listen to it over and over until I’ve moved on. Then that song reminds me of what I’ve experienced to get me where I am today.) hope that helps! Call me if you need to!

  2. One thing that has really gotten me through the thick and thin of disappointment is remembering that everything happens in love and in God. You might not be able to find a good reason right away, but everything is as it should be. xoxo

I wish I had some super spiritual uplifting advice but I’m in the midst of figuring this one out myself. Trying to rest in God’s promises is for sure the best, it’s just not always easy. Miss you!
